Contract | Travel | Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | 13-Week Assignment | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 44-bed Progressive Care Unit with a 4:1 patient ratio (up to 5:1 when stretched)
• Perform neurological and spinal assessments, including neuro and spinal checks
• Manage and monitor chest tubes, PCA pumps, IV infusions, and lumbar drains
• Assist with C-collar placement, TLSO bracing, and feeding tube placement
• Administer blood transfusions and operate patient lift equipment including Skylift
• Document and manage patient records using Cerner EMR; float to stepdown and med-surg units as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in North Carolina or compact state
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Experience in neuro and trauma care

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Strong background in neuro and trauma care within a PCU or stepdown setting
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR
• Experience with tracheostomy care and management
• Team-oriented, patient-focused approach to care delivery
