Registered Nurse – IMC / PCU / Stepdown (Neuro)

Contract | Night Shift | Onsite | Three weekend shifts per four-week schedule

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for Neuro Stepdown and Progressive Care patients
• Perform drip titration for clinicians with applicable experience; float to MedSurg/Telemetry units as needed
• Operate unit equipment including EPIC, PYXIS, Philips defibrillators, and Philips bedside monitors
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 3–4:1 on Progressive Care and 4–5:1 on MedSurg when floated
• Complete facility orientation program including Jumpstart and EPIC training followed by 1–2 days of unit-specific orientation

Required Qualifications

• Active Indiana RN license or valid compact nursing license
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) certification required prior to start date
• Minimum 2 years of PCU or Stepdown experience
• Previous Neuro nursing experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with drip titration in a progressive or stepdown care setting
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records and PYXIS medication dispensing systems
