Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Oncology)

Contract | Days / Nights Rotating | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Day: 7:00–19:30 / Night: 19:00–7:30

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical Oncology unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Administer chemotherapy and manage symptom control related to disease treatment or progression, including continuous cardiac monitoring during chemotherapy administration
• Manage comorbidities and implement infection prevention protocols with a strong focus on patient fall prevention
• Operate specialized equipment including GE telemetry monitors, bladder scanners, Alaris pumps, and Stryker beds
• Perform and assist with advanced clinical skills including central line and PICC line management, blood product administration, arterial line management, and chest tube insertion/removal assistance
• Float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed based on staffing priorities

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Valid RN compact or state license in hand at time of submission
• Active BCLS certification required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Demonstrated ability to interpret dysrhythmias and ABGs
• Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Oncology nursing experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience with high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) and port access preferred
