Occupational Therapist - Part-time 

Primary Purpose: Provide occupational therapy services that support students' academic participation, executive functioning, sensory regulation, fine motor development, and independence within an individualized one-to-one learning environment. Collaborate with teachers, families, and student support staff to develop strategies that maximize each student's educational and functional success.

Position Details:

Location: New York, New York
Pay: $126/hr+ (based on years of experience)
Hours: Fridays - 6hrs/wk

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or beyond.
  • New York Department of Education OT License
  • Experience working with middle to high school aged students is required.
  • Experience in a private or independent school setting is a preferred.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and participate in student support planning.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs.
  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to middle and high school students.
  • Address fine motor, visual-motor, sensory processing, self-regulation, executive functioning, and activities of daily living as they relate to school performance.
  • Collaborate with teachers to incorporate therapeutic strategies into individualized instruction.
  • Recommend classroom accommodations, adaptive equipment, and environmental modifications.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and communicate regularly with families and outside providers.
  • Support students' social-emotional development and independence within a personalized educational model.
