Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Contract | 12 Weeks | Nights 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 36 Hours per Week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an Intensive Care Unit setting, managing critically ill patients with complex needs
• Operate and monitor advanced equipment including mechanical ventilators, arterial lines, and balloon pumps
• Float to other units and facilities as needed, including Emergency Department, ICU, and step-down units, to care for a variety of patient populations
• Participate in weekend shifts on an as-needed or every-other-weekend basis
• Rotate through holiday coverage as required by unit scheduling

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse license
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience with strong critical care skills
• Current CPR certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current NIHSS certification
• Ability to pass an EKG competency test prior to submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic electronic health records system
• Demonstrated proficiency with ventilator management, arterial line monitoring, and intra-aortic balloon pump care
