Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to a patient population including neonates, adolescents, and adults in a Labor and Delivery setting covering triage, LDR, OR, and post-partum areas
- Perform and interpret external fetal monitoring, including recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
- Circulate for C-section procedures as required
- Float to Perinatal unit as needed based on staffing requirements
- Work 4 weekend shifts per month (Friday or Saturday nights) and be available to work most holidays
- Utilize unit systems including SBAR communication, Omnicell, and eMD Allscripts
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery RN experience required
- Active California RN license required at time of submission
- Epic EMR experience required
- AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced certifications required
- Must pass an onsite Advanced EKG exam (80% minimum passing score; two attempts permitted)
- Candidates must be free of license restrictions, disciplinary actions, board investigations, or background findings
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in both low and high-risk Labor and Delivery environments
- Familiarity with OB hospitalist and OB anesthesia workflows
- Prior travel nursing experience (first-time travelers accepted)
