Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 3x12 Hours (7:00–19:30) | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care and continuous telemetry monitoring on a 32-bed cardiac unit serving patients with cardiovascular conditions on a 24-hour basis
- Deliver specialized care for Heart Failure patients, including inpatient management and coordination of post-hospitalization services
- Perform continuous EKG monitoring and continuous oxygen saturation monitoring via telemetry
- Administer intravenous and oral medications used to treat cardiac conditions and arrhythmias
- Prepare and facilitate patient transport for cardiac interventions, surgeries, diagnostic tests, and other procedures
- Provide holistic, patient- and family-centered care addressing physical, emotional, psychological, spiritual, and cultural needs; float to other units as needed based on census
Required Qualifications
- Active South Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience; first-time travelers must have at least 3 years of experience within the cardiac specialty
- Proficiency with Omnicell medication dispensing system
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a cardiac telemetry or stepdown unit setting
- Familiarity with pre- and post-procedure cardiac patient care workflows
