Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an ER Holding environment across a broad patient population including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Monitor and manage patients in a holding capacity, ensuring timely assessment, intervention, and communication with the care team
• Perform emergency nursing interventions in alignment with established protocols and standards of care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient throughput and disposition
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient status, care provided, and clinical outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license – compact or Ohio state license must be in hand at time of submission
• Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with experience in Emergency Room and/or ER Holding
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly upon contract signing – candidates must be aware of and cooperative with the urgency of this requirement
• Candidates who are former employees must have been separated from the facility for at least 6 months to be eligible; current employees of Ohio State University hospital locations are not eligible for travel assignments at those sites
• Locals are welcome and accepted
• 2 professional references required; at least 1 must be from a manager, director, or formal leadership role (charge RN acceptable for 2nd reference; coworker references not accepted)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in Medical/Surgical or Telemetry settings in addition to ER background
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
