Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (5:00 PM – 5:00 AM) | Onsite | 3 shifts one week, 2 shifts the following week | Every other weekend required | On-call requirement of 1 call shift per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit with 8 beds
- Manage labor and delivery patients at a 2:1 ratio and couplets (mother/baby) at a 4:1 ratio
- Perform and assist with deliveries and patient recovery
- Conduct newborn testing including CCHD screening, Newborn Metabolic Screening, Bilirubin, and Hearing Screening
- Operate and interpret fetal monitoring equipment
- Float occasionally to other areas of the facility such as ED or Med/Surg as a sitter when needed
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
- Nursery experience required
- Current ACLS certification
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Current STABLE certification
- CEFM or AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- C-Section experience strongly preferred
- Experience with Meditech or CPN electronic medical record systems
