Contract | Nights (3x12 Hours, 19:00–07:30) | Onsite | Every other weekend required (Saturday and Sunday)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 54-bed Emergency Department serving neonatal, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in a high-volume environment averaging approximately 120 visits per day
• Support two locked Behavioral Health units within the ED, operating within scope alongside a dedicated security team at a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Float as needed to two rapid evaluation units supporting urgent care and critical care needs within the ED
• Deliver stroke care in alignment with Primary Stroke Center protocols, including required annual stroke continuing education
• Utilize Cerner electronic health records system, including FirstNet and Launch modules, for accurate and timely documentation
• Provide holiday coverage as required and adhere to scheduling expectations, including a maximum of one pre-approved time-off request per contract period

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of Emergency Department experience required; candidates with 2 years of Level I or Level II trauma experience may be considered
• Valid Maryland RN license or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Active ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and PALS certifications required
• Completion of Prophecy Relias Advanced Emergency Department assessment required
• 4 hours of annual stroke continuing education required
• Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs across ED units

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certification preferred
• Precepting and clinical training experience preferred
• Experience supporting Behavioral Health patient populations in an emergency setting
