Contract | 26-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift | 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM) | Weekend rotation required (2–3 weekends per month)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services in an inpatient acute care setting within a Rehabilitation Services unit
- Manage a daily caseload of approximately 8–10 patients
- Document patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes using EPIC EMR
- Participate in a rotating schedule that includes regular weekend coverage (Saturday and Sunday)
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary therapy team including PTs, OTs, SLPs, PTAs, and COTAs
Required Qualifications
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist
- Acute care experience is required; candidates without this experience will not be considered
- Must obtain Alaska state fingerprint clearance and state background check clearance (or provisional status) prior to start
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced inpatient environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working within a large inpatient hospital setting
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records system
