Contract | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 12-hour shifts | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend required | Holidays as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Room environment, seeing approximately 3,000 patients per month
• Deliver care to a primarily elderly and cardiology-focused patient population within a Level II facility that also sees pediatric patients
• Perform and interpret EKG readings as part of routine patient assessment; must pass an EKG competency test on the first day of assignment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to manage acute and emergent patient presentations
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR
• Adhere to weekend and holiday rotation requirements as scheduled

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
• CPR certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIH Stroke certification required
• PALS certification required
• TNCC or TNS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience
• Must submit a passed EKG test (score of 80% or higher) with application

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic EMR strongly preferred
• Background working with cardiology or elderly patient populations
• Familiarity with Level II emergency department workflows and pediatric patient care
