Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Acute Leukemia & Hematology)

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day/Night Rotating 12-Hour Shifts (3x12) | Days: 7:00–19:30 / Nights: 19:00–7:30 | Shift assignments reviewed every 4-week scheduling period based on departmental needs

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with newly diagnosed acute leukemia and hematologic conditions
• Implement and maintain strict infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention measures
• Perform telemetry monitoring and interpret dysrhythmias, escalating to Rapid Response Teams as needed
• Manage vascular access including peripheral lines, central line blood draws, PICC lines, and IV therapy/phlebotomy
• Administer blood products and manage feeding tube care in accordance with unit protocols
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of overall acute care nursing experience, with at least 1 year of PCU experience
• Valid RN license (compact or state license required at time of submission); must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Proficiency in telemetry, MS/Tele, IV therapy, blood product administration, and PICC line management
• Experience with computerized charting; EPIC proficiency required
• No Chemotherapy Certification required for this position

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ONS Chemotherapy Certification
• NIHSS certification
• Prior experience caring for oncology or hematology patient populations
