Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Days | 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM | On-Site
Key Responsibilities
- Scrub into and assist with open heart and congenital cardiac surgical procedures in a dedicated pediatric CVOR setting
- Collaborate closely with a specialized congenital heart surgical team including cardiac surgeons and RN staffprovide after-hours and weekend on-call coverage as required (approximately 10 days per month)
- Utilize the Meditech EMR system to support accurate and timely documentation
- Adapt quickly to dynamic patient care situations within the open-heart surgical environment
Required Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a surgical technologist
- Adult or Pediatric CVOR experience required; candidates without this experience will not be considered
- Ability to work in a high-stress environment with strong critical thinking skills
- Willingness and availability to fulfill on-call requirements after hours and on weekends
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Pediatric CVOR experience strongly preferred; candidates with this background will be given priority consideration
- Experience working within a dedicated congenital heart surgical program
