Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (12-Hour Nights, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | 36 or 48 hours per week accepted

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for a medical-surgical population including patients with traumatic brain injuries, orthopedic trauma, spine injuries, subdural hematoma, and neurological conditions
• Manage heparin drips, PCA, blood product administration, and central/peripheral/PICC line care
• Perform wound care, colostomy care, feeding tube management, chest tube management (Emerson/Pleuravac), and tracheostomy management
• Monitor and manage cardiac dysrhythmias, oxygen protocols, and non-invasive airway management including oral suctioning and nasal cannula
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Epic and adhere to isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Float to similar units and alternate care locations as needed; participate in storm, hurricane, or disaster response teams as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (NC or Compact license required)
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience within the last 5 years
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health record documentation
• BLS certification required
• Ability to manage patient ratios of 1:6–7 comfortably
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification and ability to interpret dysrhythmias
• Experience with pre/post hemodialysis management and drip management
• Background in CVA, pre/post neurosurgery, or spinal cord injury care
