Registered Nurse – Telemetry / Neurology

Contract | Days (3x12 Hours, 7:00–19:00) | Onsite | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Telemetry/Neurology unit within a short-term acute care, Level II Trauma Center setting
• Care for post-surgical neurology patients and patients presenting with varied neurological diagnoses
• Perform and document NIH Stroke Scale assessments accurately and consistently
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:4, delivering safe and effective nursing care
• Float between units or sister facilities as needed based on staffing requirements
• Commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of Telemetry or Neurology RN experience
• Proficiency with NIH Stroke Scale administration
• Experience caring for post-surgical neurology patients
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records system
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify as a traveler

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center or teaching hospital environment
• Familiarity with floating between multiple units or facilities
• Background free of Nursys or background check hits per facility policy
