Interventional Radiology / Special Procedures Technologist

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days (5x8 Hours, 8:00–16:30) | Monday–Friday | On-Site | Call Required: One weekday call rotation and every fourth Friday 16:00 through Monday 07:00

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and assist with a full range of interventional radiology procedures including embolization, IVC filter placement and removal, stent placement, TIPS, central venous access and port placement, thoracentesis, chest tube placement, catheter/drain exchange, and internal/external biliary drainage
• Operate and maintain fluoroscopy equipment and PACS systems in accordance with department standards
• Prepare and maintain sterile fields; perform equipment setup and access site preparation for all IR procedures
• Provide venous access support including non-tunneled central venous lines and PICC lines
• Apply isolation precautions, sterile technique, and infection control protocols throughout all patient interactions
• Participate in rapid response and code situations as required; utilize SBAR communication standards

Required Qualifications

• ARRT (R) certification required
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Active Ohio state license required (pending license considered)
• Minimum of 1 year of interventional radiology or special procedures experience
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records
• Demonstrated competency with fluoroscopy equipment and PACS

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working with a diverse patient population including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Familiarity with SBAR communication and multi-disciplinary support team environments
• Prior travel assignment experience (first-time travelers accepted)
