Registered Nurse – Telemetry / Neurology

Contract | Nights (3x12-Hour Shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Weekends required (every other weekend)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a telemetry unit with a neurology focus, including post-surgical neurology patients and varied neurology diagnoses
• Perform and document NIH Stroke Scale assessments accurately and consistentlynieuw
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:5 while delivering safe, high-quality nursing care
• Float between units within the facility as operationally required
• Document all patient care activities using Epic electronic health records
• Commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

Required Qualifications

• Active and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in telemetry and/or neurology
• Proficiency with NIH Stroke Scale administration
• Experience caring for post-surgical neurology patients and managing varied neurology diagnoses
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify as a traveler

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a short-term acute care, Level II Trauma, or teaching hospital environment
• Demonstrated ability to float between units and adapt to varying patient populations
• Prior travel nursing experience with a strong compliance and scheduling track record
