Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Night Shift)

Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Weekends Required (Every Other)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit within a short-term acute care facility
• Monitor and interpret remote telemetry readings, recognizing and responding to changes in patient condition
• Maintain a patient assignment ratio of 4:1
• Perform and manage peripheral IV insertion and maintenance
• Document all patient care activities accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Float to other units or nearby facilities as needed based on skill set and census demands

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse
• Demonstrated experience with telemetry interpretation and recognition
• Proficiency with peripheral IV insertion and management
• Experience with Epic electronic health records system
• Must have personal reliable transportation for this assignment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience
• Comfort and flexibility with floating to multiple units or facilities based on staffing needs
• Experience in a teaching hospital or large acute care environment
