Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Three 12-hour shifts per week | Rotating weekends and holidays | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 108-bed Level III NICU with patient ratios ranging from 1:1 to 1:4
• Manage care for neonatal patients including premature infants, surgical patients, cardiac patients, and trach infants
• Perform and assist with unit procedures including central line insertions, circumcisions, exploratory laps, gastroschisis reductions, and PDA ligations
• Manage central lines and provide respiratory management up to and including care of intubated patients using equipment such as Bubble CPAP, ventilators, oscillators, and nasal cannula
• Utilize documentation systems including CPN and Meditech for accurate and timely charting
• Float as needed to related areas including PICU, Pediatrics, and CICU, providing care for patients under 2 years of age

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license eligible to practice in Texas
• Minimum 1 year of Level III NICU experience
• Experience caring for premature infants 28 weeks gestational age and above
• Proficiency in central line management and respiratory management including intubated patients
• Current BLS certification
• Current NRP certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for infants under 27 weeks gestational age
• Experience with surgical neonatal patients including cardiac patients and trach infants
• Familiarity with Broviac catheter care
• Experience with NIRS monitoring and isolette/warmer management
