Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 3 x 12-Hour Shifts Per Week | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a mixed critical care unit serving Neuro, Spine, Cardiac, Medical, and Surgical patient populations
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 2:1 for critical patients, flexing to 3:1 as needed
• Perform independent lab draws, PICC line management, and vascular access procedures without support of a vascular access team
• Conduct and lead codes independently; call on own consults as required
• Operate and monitor advanced critical care equipment including balloon pump, CRRT, and Impella devices
• Float to PCU/CCU and inpatient units including Med/Surge, Med/Tele, Acute/Tele, and ED based on unit needs and prior experience

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Critical Care / Intensive Care Unit experience
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with balloon pump, CRRT, Impella, and open heart patient care
• Proficiency in independent lab draws and PICC line management
• Comfort and competency in conducting independent codes
• Active Kansas RN License or valid Compact RN License
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in PCU/CCU environments supporting hybrid ICU/PCU unit models
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records system
• Experience floating to Emergency Department settings
