Travel Registered Nurse – Freestanding Emergency Department (FSED)

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite | Every Other Weekend Required | Projected Start: September 14, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 24/7 freestanding emergency department setting with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio based on acuity
• Rapidly identify and respond to time-sensitive conditions including Sepsis, STEMI, Stroke, and Trauma
• Perform procedures including IV starts, medication administration, wound care, splinting, and patient assessments and reassessments
• Operate and monitor equipment including Baxter pumps, Hamilton ventilators, and GE cardiac monitors
• Document accurately and thoroughly using Meditech EMR
• Provide oversight and collaboration with EMT-Paramedics during assigned shifts

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Texas or compact state eligibility
• Minimum 1 year of emergency department nursing experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Current TNCC certification
• Current PALS or ENPC certification
• CPI or equivalent certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with airway management and mechanical ventilators
• Strong critical thinking skills in a fast-paced emergency environment
• Prior travel nursing experience in an emergency or freestanding ED setting
