Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts) | Every other weekend required | Holiday rotation required (one holiday per group: Thanksgiving Eve or Day, Christmas Eve or Day, New Year's Eve or Day)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care Unit with patient ratios of 3:1 to 4:1
• Manage patients requiring BiPAP, chest tubes, PICC lines, and independent lab draws without a vascular access team
• Care for post-open-heart surgery patients (Day 2 or Day 3) including management of pacer wires
• Independently call consults and conduct codes as needed
• Float to ICU and other inpatient units including Med/Surg, Med/Tele, Acute/Tele, and the Emergency Department based on unit needs
• Document and manage patient care using Epic EMR

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Critical Care/ICU or Emergency Department experience
• Active Kansas RN license or valid Compact RN license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications
• Demonstrated experience with BiPAP, chest tubes, PICC lines, and independent lab draws
• Ability to independently call consults and manage codes without dedicated support teams
• Prior experience floating to ICU, Med/Surg, Med/Tele, Acute/Tele, and ED units

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to function independently in a high-acuity environment
• Experience with post-open-heart surgery patients including pacer wire management
• Familiarity with Epic EMR
