Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department with up to 101 beds and patient ratios of 4:1 (medical) and up to 7:1 for behavioral holds
- Work flexibly across all sections of the ED, including triage, cardiac monitoring unit, and internal processing areas
- Utilize Cerner for clinical documentation and Baxter pumps and GE monitors for patient care
- Deliver patient-centered care in accordance with AIDET standards, maintaining updated patient boards and consistent communication throughout each visit
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including ED techs and unit clerks across day and night shifts
- Coach and provide real-time feedback while demonstrating a strong teamwork mentality
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Room setting
- Experience in a Level 2 Trauma Center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ annual visits)
- Required certifications prior to start date: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS
- ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
- Ability to float to all sections within the ED; no floating outside of the ED
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience with HCA-affiliated facilities
- Familiarity with Cerner electronic health record system
- Experience serving diverse, multicultural patient populations
