Registered Nurse – Oncology (Acute Leukemia & Hematology)

Contract | Days/Nights Rotating | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Day Shift: 7:00–19:30 | Night Shift: 19:00–7:30 | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide acute care nursing for patients primarily diagnosed with acute leukemia and hematologic conditions, serving adult and geriatric populations
• Maintain strict infection prevention protocols and implement patient fall prevention measures
• Perform telemetry monitoring and interpret dysrhythmias, escalating to Rapid Response Teams as needed
• Manage central lines, PICC lines, peripheral lines, and IV therapy, including blood product administration and phlebotomy
• Provide feeding tube care and management as required by patient needs
• Document all patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of overall acute care nursing experience, with at least 1 year of PCU experience
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV therapy, and central/PICC line management
• Experience with blood product administration and computerized charting (EPIC)
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications
• Valid compact or state RN license in hand at time of submission
• Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ONS Chemotherapy Certification (Chemo Cert not required but preferred)
• NIHSS certification
• Prior travel nursing experience in an oncology or hematology setting
