Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 4x10-hour shifts, Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM | On-call required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Cardiac Cath Lab performing EP, catheterization, and structural heart procedures including ablations, EP studies, device implantations (pacemakers, ICDs), lead extractions, left and right heart caths, Watchman procedures, valve procedures, PFOs, and ECMO
- Assist with and support interventional procedures such as Impella insertion/removal, transvenous pacing, and peripheral vascular cases
- Function as a procedural team member in one of three simultaneously running procedure rooms, each staffed by a three-person team
- Perform unit-specific clinical tasks including venipuncture and sheath discontinuation in accordance with established protocols
- Participate in on-call rotation, including weeknight call (5:00 PM–6:30 AM) and weekend call (Friday 5:00 PM–Monday 6:30 AM), targeting approximately 7 call days per month
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC and administer medications via drug box system
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Cardiac Cath Lab or related specialty
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization
- Ability to participate in on-call, holiday, and weekend call requirements
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in electrophysiology (EP) procedures including ablations, EP studies, and cardiac device management
- Experience with structural heart procedures such as Watchman, valve procedures, PFOs, and ECMO
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records system
