Contract | Days | 4x10-hour shifts (6:45am–5:15pm) | Weekend rotation every 6 weeks as needed | On-call as needed | Holiday requirement (1 summer / 1 winter as needed) | 72 guaranteed hours biweekly (on-call hours not included)
Key Responsibilities
- Perform both scrub and circulator roles in the operating room
- Provide perioperative nursing care within an 11-suite OR environment
- Support surgical procedures with a focus on orthopedic, spine, and robotic-assisted cases
- Participate in weekend rotation, on-call coverage, and holiday assignments as required
- Adhere to all facility protocols, safety standards, and documentation requirements using EPIC
Required Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse license
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records system
- Strong background in orthopedic, spine, and robotic-assisted surgery
- Must be able to both scrub and circulate; in-hours scrubs only
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification
- Prior experience in a similarly sized acute care hospital setting
