Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Float Pool)

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:45–07:15)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across Med/Surg Intermediate and PCU departments as part of a float pool, rotating between approximately 5 units and multiple metro campuses as needed
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to emergent situations on the unit
• Care for patients presenting with conditions including sepsis, stroke, renal failure, AFIB, GIB, ETOH, SI, wound care, and COVID
• Perform or assist with Pre/Post Cardiac Cath care and cardiovascular monitoring
• Fulfill holiday shift and Charge RN assignments as needed per unit rotation
• Complete 8 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period (combination of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; both Kansas and Missouri licensure (or compact license covering both states) required at time of submission
• Minimum 1–2 years of RN experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, cardiac monitoring, and emergency response including dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Must live at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred
• Experience with sheath removal (cardiovascular)
• Feeding tube care and management
• IV therapy skills including port access, blood product administration, and central line care/management
