Contract | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 19:00–07:00) | 36 or 48 hours per week available | Extended assignment available through January 2027

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 17-bed Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Care for patients admitted from the Emergency Department, Medical ICU, clinics, outside hospitals, and nursing facilities
• Manage a wide range of medical diagnoses including diabetes, sickle cell crisis, COPD exacerbations, ESRD with pulmonary hypertension, and patients with wounds, drains, and tubes
• Document and manage patient care using Epic EMR
• Float within scope of practice as needed per facility float policy
• Work every other weekend and 2 out of 3 winter holidays as required

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license or Virginia RN license pending (must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date)
• Epic EMR experience required
• BLS certification required
• Nursys verification required at time of submission
• Must adhere to facility float policy; floating within scope of practice is required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (locals are not accepted per unit mileage restriction policy)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred but not required
• BSN preferred
• Experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry setting
