Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Full-Time
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and triage on an active Labor & Delivery unit
- Circulate for C-section procedures and support antepartum patients
- Perform first-hour newborn care (excluding admission assessment, eyes, and thighs)
- Provide breastfeeding assistance and patient education
- Monitor fetal heart rates using intermediate fetal monitoring techniques and unit equipment including Novii monitors
- Document patient care accurately using CPN and Meditech EMR systems
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in Virginia
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
- Current Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring certification (within previous 2 years) — required; candidates without this will not be considered
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification — required
- Current BLS certification — required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience at facilities with more than 3,000 births per year
- Strong patient-centered care approach with emphasis on patient preferences
- Comfort working within a culturally diverse environment
