Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 36 Hours/Week | Some weekends required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a mixed-acuity Stepdown/PCU unit serving adult and geriatric patients with general chronic medical conditions
• Work comfortably in a progressive care environment, supporting both PCU-level and Med/Surg-level patients as unit needs require
• Float within the hospital organization as needed
• Participate in on-call requirements as assigned
• Collaborate with core staff to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes across varying acuity levels

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license – compact or Ohio state license must be in hand at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience (note: candidates with exactly 1 year of experience will require manager review and are not eligible for auto offers)
• Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly upon contract signing – responsiveness to credentialing is required
• Current employees of any Ohio State University hospital location are ineligible; former employees must have been separated for at least 6 months
• Locals are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a PCU, Stepdown, or progressive care setting strongly preferred
• Comfort with floating between units and adapting to varying patient acuity levels
• Med/Surg background may be considered based on experience and unit needs
