Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting
• Read and interpret cardiac rhythms; must pass a hospital-proctored EKG exam requiring at least 85% overall accuracy and 100% accuracy on all critical rhythms
• Administer and manage medications using Omnicell medication system
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
• Perform triage and monitor patients on telemetry as needed
• Float within the hospital to other units as directed by management, based on skillset

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN License (must be in hand at time of submission)
• BLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Minimum 2 years of current Emergency Department experience (5 years preferred)
• Proficiency with EPIC charting and Omnicell medication system
• Flu vaccine required; medical or religious exemption documentation must be submitted at least 2 weeks prior to start date for approval
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification
• Triage experience
• Level 1 trauma experience
• Prior travel nursing experience
