Contract | 12-Week Assignment | Evening Shift | 5x7.5-Hour Shifts | 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM | Weekends Not Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care across Pre-Procedure, Intra-Procedure, and PACU/Recovery areas for both outpatient and hospitalized patients, including pediatric, adolescent, and adult populations
• Administer and monitor conscious sedation; support recovery from general anesthesia and monitored anesthesia care (MAC) cases
• Assist with and circulate for advanced endoscopic procedures including ERCP, EUS, ESD, POEM, EMR, complex polypectomy, EGD, colonoscopy, and bronchoscopy
• Perform airway management, IV insertion and maintenance, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency response as needed
• Manage specimen handling and labeling in accordance with unit protocols using SBAR communication standards
• Float within the unit as required; collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including CRNAs, anesthesiologists, hospitalists, NPs, and rapid response teams

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN License (must be in hand or have an ETA on issue date at time of submission)
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required; ICU/critical care background required
• PACU/post-anesthesia recovery experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required — first-time travelers are not accepted
• Local candidates are accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with EPIC electronic health records system
• Pediatric nursing experience, particularly for nurses who may be assigned to pediatric cases
• Familiarity with Omnicell medication management systems
• Experience working in a high-volume, hospital-based procedural or endoscopy/GI unit
