Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to neonatal patients in a high-acuity Level III/IV NICU, caring for infants as early as 23–24 weeks gestation
- Operate and monitor advanced respiratory support equipment including CPAP/BiPAP, High Frequency Ventilators, Oscillators, and conventional Vents
- Administer blood and blood products; manage PICC lines, central lines, syringe pumps, and feeding tubes
- Attend high-risk deliveries and support neonatal surgical cases as needed
- Perform cooling/warming blanket therapy and cardioversion/defibrillation as required
- Float to sister campuses or adjacent units (SCN, Pediatrics/Newborn Nursery — infant assignments only) as needed based on unit census
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum of 3 years of NICU experience required
- Experience in a Level III or Level IV NICU setting
- Ability and willingness to float to different campuses when needed
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a standard traveler (locals accepted at a modified rate)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience caring for micro-preemies and extremely low gestational age neonates (23–24 weeks)
- Familiarity with high-frequency oscillatory ventilation and advanced neonatal hemodynamic monitoring
- Prior travel nursing experience in a high-census NICU environment
- Comfort with block scheduling and consecutive shift arrangements
