Key Responsibilities
- Performs and processes radiographic (including portables) and fluoroscopic radiology tests as scheduled or requested, in a timely and skilled manner
- Obtains images using appropriate equipment and transfers images to PACS; documents tests and procedures via computer
- Monitors radiology supplies, equipment certification, maintains a lead apron log, reports malfunctions, and oversees routine equipment maintenance
- Assists with clinical and office functions including EKGs, pregnancy tests, case cart checks, room turnovers, and supply management under appropriate supervision
- Reviews the OR schedule daily and coordinates with clinical leadership to ensure adequate radiology and clinical coverage
- Maintains knowledge of aseptic technique for performing tests during surgical procedures and upholds strict confidentiality of all patient records and information
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist program
- Prior experience as a Radiology Technologist required
- Current certification as a Radiology Technologist required
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (Healthcare Provider level) required; must be renewed every two years
- Basic computer operational skills
- Ability to assist with lifting, moving, and positioning patients, as well as moving equipment and handling supplies
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in an outpatient or surgical center environment
- Familiarity with PACS image transfer systems
- Experience supporting anesthesia or surgical teams in a clinical setting
