Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Travel)

Contract | Travel | Nights | 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM | 13-Week Assignment | Every other weekend required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department with up to 101 beds and patient ratios of 4:1 (medical) and up to 7:1 on behavioral holds
- Utilize AIDET framework and patient experience standards, keeping patient boards updated with current information throughout each visit
- Document accurately using Cerner electronic health record system and operate Baxter pumps and GE monitors
- Float as needed within all sections of the Emergency Department
- Demonstrate flexibility with scheduling to meet departmental needs; block scheduling is not available
- Serve a diverse, multicultural patient population while maintaining respectful, patient-centered care
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Room setting
- ACLS required before start date
- BLS required before start date
- PALS required before start date
- TNCC required before start date
- CPI required before start date
- NIHSS required before start date
- ENPC required within 90 days of hire
- Navy scrubs required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 2 years of experience in a Level II Trauma Center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ annual visits)
- Previous experience with HCA facilities
- Demonstrated ability to coach and provide real-time feedback in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork mentality with flexibility to work across all areas of the ED
