Travel RN – Orthopedic (Night Shift)

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed orthopedic unit with a night shift ratio of 6:1 (7:1 stretch)
• Perform dressing changes, suture and staple removal, Foley catheter insertion and care, NG tube management, and wound vac maintenance and removal
• Operate unit equipment including CPM machines, sky lifts, Sara Steady, Sara Lift, Maxi Move, bladder scanners, hover mats, and Bair Huggers
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and HUCs in a fast-paced environment
• Float to other Med-Surg units as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active North Carolina RN License
• BLS Certification (required)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and function as a strong team player

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior orthopedic nursing experience
• Hospital or acute care setting experience
• Familiarity with orthopedic equipment such as CPM machines, specialty lifts, and mobility aids
