Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, analyze data to determine diagnoses or issues, and develop individualized plans of care
• Implement identified plans of care and employ strategies to promote patient health and a safe environment
• Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols related to care for patients with hyper acute and acute stroke; participate in a minimum of four hours of stroke education annually
• Complete six hours of verifiable trauma-related education annually in accordance with State Trauma Program requirements
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members in the conduct of nursing practice
• Contribute to the professional development of peers and colleagues while integrating research findings and ethical provisions into practice

Required Qualifications

• Current Montana Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• American Heart Association BLS certification
• American Heart Association ACLS certification
• National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• American Heart Association PALS or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification
• Minimum of 1 year of emergency nursing or critical care experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Demonstrated ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced emergency environment
• Strong emotional intelligence, interpersonal skills, and ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
