Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Days | 3x12-Hour Variable Shifts (shifts may begin between 7:00 AM and 11:00 AM) | On-Call Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgical and procedural interventions in a PACU setting
- Monitor, assess, and document patient status using Epic electronic health records
- Participate in on-call coverage, including availability to report to the facility within 30 minutes of being called (6 calls per 8-week period); call sleep rooms are available on site
- Provide weekend on-call coverage as required
- Float to like units within scope of practice to meet facility needs as directed
- Commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
Required Qualifications
- Active Alaska RN license required; pending license accepted, but license must be in hand prior to offer — must be able to complete AK RN license application, including fingerprints and application fee submission, within 48 hours of signing
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of PACU or relevant RN experience
- Must be willing to float to sister facilities nearby the contracted facility when required
- All requested time off must be submitted at the time of initial submittal; post-offer RTO requests may not be granted
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a Magnet-designated or Level II Trauma facility
- Familiarity with Epic charting system
- Experience managing variable shift schedules in a high-acuity environment
