Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry Float Pool

Contract | Rotating Days and Nights (3x12-Hour Shifts) | 13–18 Week Assignments Available
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry float pool, with potential to float to additional units serving the same patient population
- Complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation with an acceptable passing score (maximum of 2 attempts permitted)
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry data as part of routine patient care
- Adhere to facility compliance requirements including annual hands-on competency training and pre-start modules
- Work at least every other holiday as required by the facility
- Complete BCI/FBI background check within 48 hours of signing contract
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 months combined permanent experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry (travel experience may be considered for recent experience requirement)
- Active, permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license required and must be in hand at time of submission
- Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required
- Active ACLS certification required
- Active NIHSS certification required
- One professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty from an assignment worked within the past 12 months is required (co-worker references will not be accepted)
- No open background or license hits; all certifications must be active and in hand — no pending certifications accepted
- Local candidates are welcome and accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 18 months of permanent experience within a single facility location in Med/Surg Telemetry
- Prior travel nursing experience in a Med/Surg or Telemetry setting
- Familiarity with ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessment tools
