Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Days | 6:45 AM – 7:00 PM | Full-Time
Key Responsibilities
- Provide pulmonary care for critical, non-critical, and chronically ill adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients under physician direction with minimal supervision
- Perform patient assessments and institute individualized respiratory care plans across all hospital areas
- Manage airway support including nasotracheal and endotracheal suctioning, BiPAP/CPAP devices, and ventilator setup and operation
- Perform diagnostic procedures including bloodgas collection and analysis, EKG analysis, and chest film analysis
- Respond to emergency situations including Code Blue and Code White events
- May perform advanced practice duties such as pulmonary function testing, bronchoscopy assist, hemodynamic monitoring, waveform analysis, and transport duties; may serve in a Shift Leader or Team Leader capacity
Required Qualifications
- Active RT or RCP License in the state of Texas required
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential issued by the NBRC required
- BLS certification required (American Heart Association only)
- ACLS certification required (American Heart Association only)
- PALS certification required (American Heart Association only)
- NRP certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 1–3 years of respiratory therapy experience preferred
- Experience with advanced therapeutic gas management including INO and HeO2
- Familiarity with polysomnography and nocturnal SpO2 evaluation (desaturation studies)
