Contract | Rotating Shift | 4 x 10-hour shifts, expected 40 hours/week; call rotation shared equitably among staff and may include holiday coverage

Key Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons and nursing staff in the performance of surgical procedures
• Collaborate with all members of the surgical team to support optimal patient outcomes
• Demonstrate clinical competence across surgical technical skills, Sterile Processing, Endoscopy, and Materials Management
• Maintain a superior sterile conscience through consistent application of aseptic principles and sterile technique
• Communicate any breaks in technique promptly to the circulating RN and surgeons
• Ensure all necessary equipment is present and operational prior to case start, including electro-surgical, diagnostic, video, and specialty-specific equipment

Required Qualifications

• Certification as an OR Surgical Technician is required
• Current CPR certification required
• Orthopedic surgical experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in Sterile Processing or Endoscopy departments
• Familiarity with a broad range of surgical specialty areas and associated equipment
