Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every other weekend required (including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights) | Holiday shifts may be scheduled if a holiday falls within the assignment period

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 54-bed Cardiovascular Telemetry unit, organized across three 18-bed wings
• Care for cardiovascular telemetry patients, including those placed in an overflow unit as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC electronic health records
• Float to other units based on facility needs as requested
• Adhere to NIH and stroke education standards as required for acute care RN practice

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — Virginia license must be in hand at time of submittal, or proof of a compact license must be provided
• BLS certification required — must be through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• ACLS certification required — must be through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) certification required
• Telemetry or cardiovascular specialty experience within the last year
• EPIC charting experience required
• One supervisory reference required at time of submittal
• Flexible scheduling preferred; every other weekend availability (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights) is required
• Locals are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a cardiovascular telemetry setting
• Familiarity with NIH and stroke education protocols
• Ability to keep time-off requests to a minimum throughout the assignment period
