Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 or 26 weeks) | Days, 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:00) | Onsite | Expected 36–48 hours/week | Every other weekend, every other holiday; must work 2 of 3 winter holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services within a children's hospital setting, including care across neonatal and pediatric populations
• Deliver care in the NICU and PICU environments, applying advanced clinical judgment and specialty-specific protocols
• Participate in a self-scheduling model; schedule preferences will be considered but cannot be guaranteed
• Float within scope of practice to other units as operationally needed
• Complete specialty-specific orientation modules as assigned during onboarding

Required Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
• Active Virginia Respiratory Therapy license required; pending license accepted provided a temporary license can be obtained before start date — candidate must hold a license in at least one other state to be eligible for a temporary Virginia license
• Level 4 NICU experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Maximum of 40 hours of requested time off per 13-week contract; all RTO must be disclosed at time of submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Adult Critical Care Specialist (ACCS) certification preferred
• Cardiac PICU experience preferred
