Travel RN – PCU / Progressive Care Unit (Seasonal, 13-Week Contract)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Travel | Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 13 Weeks | Every other weekend (or equivalent based on staffing needs)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 20-bed Progressive Care Unit with a 4:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
- Perform continuous cardiac monitoring and demonstrate strong dysrhythmia recognition skills
- Manage patients on critical drips in accordance with unit protocols
- Utilize GE cardiac monitoring equipment, Hospira IV pumps, and the Expanse EMR system
- Float as needed to Med/Surg, ICU (border patients), and the Emergency Department (ED holds)
- Collaborate with a team of RNs and LNAs, adapting to census-based staffing flexes
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — active Compact (multi-state) license required at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of PCU experience in a hospital setting
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NIHSS (NIAH) certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Pre- and post-cardiac catheterization patient care experience
- Pacemaker patient care experience
- Prior experience within an HCA-affiliated facility
