Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM | One weekday on-call shift per week expected
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct perioperative nursing care in an active OR environment with 9 suites plus a dedicated cystoscopy room
- Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio throughout surgical cases
- Support a broad range of procedures including orthopedics (total joints and sports medicine), spine, neuro, vascular, general surgery, bariatrics, robotics, and urology
- Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary surgical teams across day-shift staffing models, including float team assignments as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active RN licensure eligible for practice in Texas
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of Operating Room experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in general surgery scrubbing/circulating
- Demonstrated proficiency in orthopedic surgery scrubbing/circulating
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Cardiovascular (CV) surgery experience
- Experience with da Vinci robotic surgical systems
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR
