Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Labor & Delivery unit with 15 labor beds, 3 OR suites, 4 triage beds, and 3 Preop/PACU beds
- Maintain patient ratios of 2:1, 1:1 for patients on Pitocin, and 3–4:1 in APU and Triage
- Operate and interpret Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) with Tocometry, ultrasound, pulse oximetry, BP cables, and NOVI equipment
- Assist with and support procedures including C-sections, cerclage placement and removal, IUPC, and FSE
- Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including secretaries, ANMs, relief charge nurses, and ORTs
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in the state of Texas (or compact eligibility)
- Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- IEFM (Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring) certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- BSN degree preferred
- RNC-OB (Inpatient Obstetric Nursing) certification
- C-EFM (Certified Electronic Fetal Monitoring) certification
