Contract | 12-hour rotating shifts | Every other weekend and every other holiday required | Shift rotation (days/nights) determined by unit needs
Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough patient assessments and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with unit standards
- Administer medications and complete nursing tasks utilizing Epic EMR, Omnicell, and Alaris IV pumps
- Provide care on a 32-bed cardiac stepdown unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 4–5:1 on days and 5–6:1 on nights
- Float to med/surg units across multiple facility locations within Fargo as needed
- Maintain active RN licensure and required certifications throughout the duration of the assignment
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Medical/Surgical (MS) nursing experience within a large hospital setting (250+ beds)
- Active North Dakota RN license or Compact RN license (must be willing to obtain ND licensure prior to start)
- BLS certification – must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- NIHSS certification required (must be willing to obtain prior to start if not currently held)
- Willingness to float to all units and locations within the Fargo area as needed
- Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates living between 60 and 80 miles may be considered at a local travel rate
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Cardiac nursing experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency with Epic EMR
- Experience with Omnicell and Alaris IV pump systems
