Contract | Days | 4x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30) | Options for 36 or 48 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to Medical Oncology patients including those with solid tumors (lung, breast, pancreatic) and BMT/hematologic diagnoses such as leukemia; average patient stay of 3–5 days
• Perform IV starts, access ports and central lines, and provide trach care; no ventilator management required
• Administer post-treatment care; chemotherapy administration may be required for certified clinicians
• Operate CAD pumps and utilize EPIC for all charting and documentation
• Float within the oncology service line as needed to meet facility staffing requirements
• Pass a Relias EKG exam; interpretation and management of dysrhythmias is required

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license; MO license or compact license accepted (compact must match permanent residence); IL license must be in hand at time of submittal
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• ACLS certification required (must be obtained by compliance hard document deadline)
• BLS certification required
• Must pass Relias EKG exam prior to start; dysrhythmia interpretation and management required
• Must not reside within 75 miles of the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN preferred
• Experience with BMT (bone marrow transplant) patients
• Familiarity with stem cell transplantation procedures
• Prior experience with chemotherapy administration or infusion (helpful but not required)
