Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays as Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry acute care setting with a 1:5 or 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Monitor and assess patients on telemetry, responding appropriately to changes in condition
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system
• Float to other units or hospital locations as needed
• Adhere to facility dress code: solid navy scrubs

Required Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
• Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Alabama or a valid Compact license — no temporary licenses accepted
• NURSYS verification required
• AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical/Telemetry; candidates with at least 18 months of experience working under the highest level of professional license and a minimum of 1 year of recent specialty experience may be considered
• Must be willing to float to other units and hospital locations

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred
• Prior experience with Meditech EMR
• Experience working in a high-acuity telemetry or medical surgical environment
